Project Management Course Attendance FAQ

What happens if a course is cancelled?

We operate with small class sizes to create optimal learning environments.  However, occasionally, if enrollment is very low, we may need to cancel a course.  If this happens we will issue you a full refund, or transfer you to the next course, depending on your preference.

What is the deadline for me to cancel?

Cancellations received up to fourteen (14) days before the course are fully refundable. After that, cancellations are subject to the entire course fee.  Substitutions may be made at any time. To make a substitution, cancel or to reschedule a course, please call us at 1-866-PM-ASSIST.

I’m unable to attend part of the course.  What can I do?

On a space-available basis, you can make-up the parts of the course you are unable to attend the next time the course is offered.  Please contact us to arrange any make-up sessions.

Will I receive a certificate?

If you attend at least 80% of the course, you will receive a course completion certificate.  This may be available at the end of the course, or it may be mailed to you after the course is complete.

Where are the in-person courses held?

Our project management courses are held at different locations, including Seattle/Bellevue, WA, Tucson, AZ, and Grand Cayman. Please make sure you have registered for the correct location.  Directions to all locations are available on our contact page. Free parking is available at all locations.

Do you provide lunch for in-person courses?

We provide coffee, tea, water, and snacks, but not lunch. You are welcome to bring your own lunch, or to visit one of the nearby local restaurants.

What should I bring to class?

You should bring whatever you need to make notes during the training, such, as pens, highlighters etc. We will provide the texts and course manuals you will need.

Where are the online courses held?

Instructions and links for online courses are emailed to you several days prior to the start of the course.

What happens in the case of inclement weather?

We make every effort to ensure instructors are available to teach courses, regardless of weather conditions.  However, we recognize that sometimes conditions may prevent you from attending all or part of your course.  On a space-available basis, you can make-up the parts of the course you are unable to attend the next time the course is offered.  Please contact us to arrange any make-up sessions.

What is the daily schedule for the courses?

Most courses run 8:00am to approximately 5:00pm local time, with 1 hour for lunch. However, you should verify start times when you receive your confirmation information.

How many students does Key Consulting have on each course?

Typically we have 3 to 5 people per course.

Do you offer a guarantee for the PMP exam preparation courses?

Based on our past history, going back to the very first PMBOK® Guide,  we are very confident that our training prepares you very well for the PMP exam.  However, you may re-take the training as many times as you like, for 12 months after your original paid course, on a space-available basis, using your existing materials/texts, at no cost, assuming neither the applicable PMBOK® Guide, nor the PMP Exam Content Outline, changes during that time-frame.  If you are still within your 12 month window, but the exam has changed, you are eligible to take the updated training and receive new materials/texts etc. at a 50% discount, on a space-available basis.

Does the course fee include the PMP certification exam fee?

No.  Exam and application fees are paid directly to the Project Management Institute (PMI), and currently run around $500.  More details are available at the PMI website. You will then take your exam at a Pearson Vue testing center, or online.

I still have questions. Who should I talk to?

Please call us at 1-866-PM-ASSIST and we will help you.
