We all know project management skills apply across industries, organizations, and age groups. Now, the Project Management Institute (PMI) has announced the PMI Project Management Ready certification, providing a way for high school students to immerse themselves in the project management industry and connect with the community of project management professionals.
The new certification will introduce high school and post-secondary students to the concepts and field of project management, and the tools to apply this knowledge to a wide range of career paths.
“Earning an industry-recognized certification gives students a competitive edge, as it demonstrates knowledge and competencies, which is a major asset as they transition to postsecondary education, internship opportunities, the military, or employment. Everyone can benefit from project management skills, and the PMI Project Management Ready certification is the perfect entry point for students into the project management world. We hope students who pursue this certification see this as the beginning to their career in our industry.”
